Cape Bridgewater, located 17km west of Portland, has been voted as one of the top ten beaches in Australia. It is widely known in the Glenelg Shire as the "jewel in the crown" and a "must see" due to it's pristine beauty, safe swimming beach, stunning views, great walking tracks, and abundance of wildlife.There is a licenced cafe situated right on the beach which offers great meals and coffee.

The Cape Bridgewater Coastal Camp situated on the hill, with commanding ocean views, is a 5 minute walk to the beach.
